James (Red) McDaniel, age 80, of East Dublin, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Services will be held on at 2:00PM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel and Rev. Greg Lowery will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour at the church. Pallbearers will be Kevin Arrington, Scott McDaniel, Adam McDaniel, Dave McDaniel, Jacob McDaniel, Ryan Pope and Doug White. Mr. McDaniel was a lifelong resident of Laurens County and a member or Mount Zion Baptist Church. He retired from Coca-Cola as a route driver and was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanelle "Nealy" McDaniel; parents, Lonnie and Fannie Bell McDaniel; sister, Betty Jean Giddens, and brother, John Waymon McDaniel. Survivors include his daughter, Lynn McDaniel (Gene) of Dublin; sons, Rodney McDaniel (Jan) and Richard McDaniel (Brandy), both of East Dublin, and Barry McDaniel (Heather) of Rentz; grandchildren, Eric, Scott, Alan, and Matthew McDaniel, Ryan, Alexis and Anna Pope, and Kaedyn Gilliland; brothers, Nolon McDaniel (Barbara) of Dublin and Burton McDaniel (Johnnie) of Rentz and several nieces and nephews.
