Services for James Limmie Mercer, age 86, of Brewton, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 21, 2013, at Dublin First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Pastor Myron Wise and Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate. Mr. Mercer died Friday, January 18, 2013. Mr. Mercer was the son of the late Willard Mercer and the late Mell Gay Mercer. He was a veteran of the U S Army and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Mercer retired from J. P. Stevens Company. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mercer was preceded in death by his wife, Canoye Boone Mercer and brother, Walter Mercer. Survivors include his son, James Allen (Lyn) Mercer, of Orange Park, FL; and grandchildren, Felicia Mercer (Rich) Bolduc, of Middleburg, FL, Amanda Mercer, of Winder, GA, and Brian (Jessica) Mercer, of Jacksonville, FL. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 PM until the funeral hour at Dublin First Church of the Nazarene.
