Graveside Services for James Mimbs, age 67 of Cadwell, will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Rentz Cemetery. Rev. Grady Mimbs will officiate. He passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012. Mr. Mimbs retired from the Laurens County Public Works Department. He was the son of the late John Wiley Mimbs and the late Lorene Upshaw Mimbs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Hunter Mimbs; brother, Jimmy Mimbs and a sister, Karen Evans. Survivors include his wife, Pam Avant Mimbs of Cadwell; three sons, Tony (Amy) Mimbs of Rentz and Jody (T.J.) Mimbs of Cadwell and Jason (Beth Thomas) Mimbs of Cadwell; sister, Linda Graham of Cadwell; brother, Mark Mimbs of Cadwell; granddaughter Tori Mimbs; grandson, Tyler Mimbs and several nieces and nephews. Pallbeaers will be Timmy Evans, Bobby Burch, Jason Hawkins, Jason Allen, Jody Fountain and Virgil Allen. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
