Services for James Elton Price, age 85, of East Dublin will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Nazarene Church Cemetery in Scott. Rev. Myron Wise and Rev. David Canen will officiate. Mr. Price died Friday, November 19, 2010. Mr. Price retired from J. P. Stevens after thirty-four years. He was a member of the Encouragers Sunday School class at the First Church of the Nazarene in Dublin and served several years on the church board. Mr. Price was a decorated World War II Army veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by sons, Vic Price and Maxie Price; mother, Lucille Price Tyson; father, Velt Price; step-father, Arthur Tyson; and sister, Hazel Price Haywood. Survivors include his wife, Hazel J. Price, of East Dublin, son, Jimmy (Kathy) Price, of East Dublin, grandchildren, Barry (Sharon) Price, Angela Price Wells, Kenny (Kristy) Price, Andy Price, several great-grandchildren, sisters, Emily Davis Hall and Caroline Phiel, brother, Doc Rudolph Price, daughter in law, Fay Price, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
