James Ralph Spence, 74, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021, after a long illness.

Ralph graduated from Dublin High School in 1964 and attended Georgia Southern University. Ralph served in the United States Army as a squad leader of a Mortar squad during Vietnam in the '70s and boy he could tell some stories.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carey and Myrtle Spence, and daughter, Carrie Lynn Spence.

He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Millie Gilder Spence; a daughter, Dosia Spence; two sons, Jamie (Holly) Spence and Gil Spence; four grandchildren, Jayden, Ryan, Jocelynn, and Rowan Spence; brother-in-law, Fred (Jeannie) Gilder; sisters-in-law, Sandra G. (Ronnie) Mallette and Brenda Gilder, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mr. Spence will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 10:30 AM in Northview Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Hammond will officiate.
