A memorial service will be held for Jim Swift, age 67, of Dublin, at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 31, 2015, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Mark George and Mr. Jim Stanley will officiate. Mr. Swift died Saturday, March 28, 2015. Mr. Swift retired from the Department of Social Services in Steuben County, NY, in 1985, and the Laurens County Department of Family and Children Services in 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Robert Swift and Virginia Margaret Sweeny Swift. Survivors include his wife, Annette "Gail" Swift; children, "Krista" Michelle (William "Adric") Freeman, "Amanda" Dawn Evans, all of Dublin, Suzanne Swift, James Swift, Jr.; sisters, Bonnie Swift, of Hornell, NY, Elizabeth Palmiter, of Genesee, PA; brother, Raymond Swift, of Hornell, NY; nieces and nephews, Meghan (Jesse) Olsen, of Beaufort, SC, Jennifer Speed, Robert Pate, Brian Swift, all of Hornell, NY; great nieces and nephews, Kieran Pate, Quillan Speed, Layne Berry, all of Hornell, NY, Peyton Olsen, Emma Olsen, both of Beaufort, SC; mother-in-law, Mary Beatrice Stanley, of Covington; brothers and sisters in law, Lillian and Jim Stanley, of Jonesboro, Janice & Bill Blanchard, of Marietta.
