Funeral services for James Talmadge "Tal" Fountain, Sr., age 86, will be held 11:00 AM Saturday April 6, 2019, at Bluewater Baptist Church with visitation at the church from 10:00 AM until funeral starts.

Rev. Gene Hemingway will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Fountain was born March 23, 1933 in Laurens County to the late Trubie Lee Fountain and Aleene Smith Fountain.  He was retired from Mohawk and was a US Army Veteran.  He was also a faithful member of Bluewater Baptist Church as long as his health allowed.  Mr. Fountain was also preceded in death by a sister, Fay Fountain Crabb.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Janice Weaver Fountain, children; Tammy (Russell) Lane, Tina (Sonny) Hobbs, Jeff (Gloria) Wells and Tal (Cassandra) Fountain, Jr., 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Alan Crabb, Bob Hammond, Jeff Wilkes, Steve Ashley, Tony Bowman and Roger Wehner will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be given in his memory to the Bluewater Baptist Church Building Fund.
