Services for Jason Emory Brooks, age 32 of Dudley, will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. David Currie will officiate. Mr. Brooks passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. Jason was a graduate of the West Laurens High School Class of 1999. He received a degree in machine tool from the Heart of Georgia Technical College and was employed with YKK for many years. Jason was an avid hog hunter and worked as a hunting guide for Millwood Lodge and Flat Rock Hunting Lodge. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Brooks, Jr., grandfather, Walter Emory Lord and grandparents, Leroy Brooks, Sr. and Ruth Merrill Brooks. He is survived by his mother, Faye Brooks (Verlyn M.) Thomas of Dudley; son, James Tristan Brooks of Dexter; two sisters, Wendy Brooks of Dexter and Brandi Brooks (Glynn) Petrie of Fitzgerald; wife, Amy Brooks of Eastman, , grandmother, Eula Jean Lord of Dublin; two nephews, Dylan Warren and Lane Brooks ; niece, Addy Grace Petrie, stepchildren, Braylon Mincey and Alyssa Trifiletti and numerous other family members. Pallbearers will be Michael Brooks, Shannon Brooks, James Lamb, Kendall Adcock, Kevin Spires and Terry Manus. The family will receive on Friday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
