Jean Schumacher, age 83, of Rentz, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021.

Mrs. Schumacher was born in Laurens County on May 3, 1938, to the late Carris L. and Frances Woodard. She was a member of Rentz Baptist Church and retired from Don's Rentals. She enjoyed dancing, swimming, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Karl Schumacher, of Rentz; son, Lee Schumacher, of Amarillo, TX; daughters, Donna Wynn Schumacher and Sandy Durden Schumacher, both of Rentz; grandsons, Chad Herndon (Nicole), and Christopher Diers, both of Rentz; great-grandson, Jeremy Herndon, of Cedar Grove; sisters, Mryna Achord (Eddie), of Dublin and Faye Cooper, of Orange Beach, AL, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.

Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Jean's memory.
