Services for Jeanelle Lamb Smith, age 82 of Dublin, will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, Dublin. Dr. Cliff Morris and Rev. Lloyd Welch will officiate. Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville, GA, and Rev. Dan McKay will officiate. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents, John Madison Lamb and Anna Lee Gilder Lamb, and her husband, Joseph Hunt Smith Jr. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dublin, a member of the Winsom Sunday School Class, and was involved in the Hands of Ruth. She retired as a teacher of Vocational Food Services at West Laurens High School. After retiring from teaching, she owned her own catering business. Survivors include two sons, J. Bradley Smith (Jo Ellen) of Rex, GA and Mark R. Smith (Cecelia) of McDonough, GA; three grandchildren, Joel Hunt Smith, Kaylin LeeAnna Smith, and Lauren Blake Smith, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Edwin Avery, Terry Brown, Ben Jones Jr., Phillip Morris, James Shoptaw, Ben Cochran, Wallace Miller, and Alan Yauck The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
