Graveside services for Jeanne Hancock Gordon, age 59, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, September 4, 2015, at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Paul Wilkes and Rev. Charles Lowery will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Gordon died Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Mrs. Gordon was born in McRae, GA and lived all of her life in Dublin. She was a member of Springdale Baptist Church and was very active in the community. She was employed at Laurens Convalescent, Penny Pincher Shop, and Internal Medicine. In 2005 she earned a degree as an LPN, from there she went on to work at Shamrock Nursing Home and the Carl Vinson Medical Center. She loved caring for people and animals. She enjoyed being outdoors and fishing with her children and she also loved spending time with her grandson, Dawson. Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Hancock and Geneva Young Hancock, and grandparents, Willie and Essie Young. Survivors include her husband, James "Dud" Gordon Jr., two sons, Dustin James Gordon and Dillon Jackson Gordon, grandson, Dawson Nash Gordon, brother-in-law, Tracy Christopher Gordon, niece, Taylor Priscilla Gordon all of Dublin, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mitchell Childers, Albert Prince, Junior Adams, and Ricky Lewis will serve as pallbearers.
