Funeral Services for Jim Gilbert age 69 of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Alan Heath will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Jim was born in Athens, Alabama. He served in the US Air Force. He was retired from Fairview Park Hospital after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father; David E. Gilbert, mother; Everdean Sims, brothers; Thomas Gilbert and Jack Gilbert, sister; Barbara Grable. He passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016. Survivors include his wife; Tina Gilbert of Dublin, sons; David Gilbert of Griffin, Chris (Amber) Walton of Temple, grandchildren; Blake and Brooklyn Gilbert, Charlsie, Colbie and Kylee Walton. Stephen Walls, Michael Walls, Craig Fernander, Darrell Young, Johnny Davis, and Justin Fernander will serve as pallbearers.
