Jimmy Mullis, age 71, of Cadwell, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Mr. Mullis was born in Laurens County to the late James B. and Mary Alice Mullis. He was a retired correctional officer and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Survivors include his wife, Ophelia Mullis, of Cadwell; children, Michelle Forehand (Jim), of Melbourne, FL, Debbie Lauber, of Dublin, Jay Mullis (Kimberly), of Macon, and Kim Howell, (Tim), of Danville; sister, Alicia King (Bobby), of Cadwell; brothers, Ralph Mullis (Margaret), of Cadwell, and Raymond Mullis (Mary), of Eastman, 9 grandchildren,1 great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 3:00PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Greg Lowery and Mr. Larry Brewer will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until funeral hour at the church on Friday. Pallbearers will be Glen Horton, Ricky Melton, Ricky Evans, Mark Lauber, Wyendell Crutchfield, Delacy Pettis, Rodney Cash, John Crowley, Dell Purvis, and David Dover. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Integrity Hospice, 1101-B Hillcrest Pkwy, Dublin, GA 31021.
