Services for Joan Dent, age 80 of Dublin, will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Bethsaida Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jerry Collins will officiate. Mrs. Dent was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Rainbow Sunday School Class and the choir. She retired from Allen Bradley. Mrs. Dent has resided at Twelve Oaks for the last four years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Zeb Lee Gordon Spangler and Mary Lydie Roberts Spangler; husband, Theron Dent; brother, James Spangler and great-grandchild, William Gooble. Mrs. Dent passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013. Survivors include her children; Deborah Swift Gieger (Perry) of Dublin, Darrel Keith Terpstra (Glenda) of Greensboro, NC and Denise Terpstra Hall of Juliette; sisters, Juanita Spangler Fowler (Tommy) of Canton and Ernestine Spangler Haynie (Charles) of Marietta; brother, Gordon Lee Spangler (Evelyn) of Newborn; sister-in-law, Nancy Spangler of Riverdale; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Cavin Gieger, Dwayne Jordan, Stephen Rogers, Rob Ward, Charles Haynie and Scott Knight. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00PM until funeral hour at Bethsaida Baptist Church.
