Services for Joann B. Brown, age 74 of Dublin will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery. Rev. Phillip Hightower and Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate. She passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013. Mrs. Brown was born March 28, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. She was a graduate of Lowery High School. She was a former employee of Uniroyal and retired from Mohawk Industries. Mrs. Brown was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie Bracewell and Lena P. Bracewell, her twin brother, Clinton Bracewell (aka little Dan) and brothers Terrel and Tandall Bracewell. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Carson Brown; daughters, Beverly (Monte) Garrett, Angela (Emory) Adams and Bonnie (Jeff) Green; grandchildren, Rodney (Jessica) Garrett, Misty Garrett, Mindy Garrett, Ginger Garrett, Tyler Green, Kayla Adams, Trevor Green and Taylor Adams; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Katie and Ben Garrett; sisters, Phillis (George) Jones, Kathy (Jose) Contreras; brother, Garry Bracewell and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rodney Garrett, Tyler Green, Trevor Green, David Thomas, Lee Harper and Jason Smith. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
