Memorial Services for Joel Miller, age 66, of Chester, will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Powell will officiate. Mr. Miller was the son of the late J.D. Miller and the late Lottie Horton Miller. He served in the United States Army Reserve and worked for many years at J.P. Stevens / Forstmann & Company. He retired as a truck driver with C.T. Harris. Mr. Miller passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Miller of Chester; son, Don Miller of Gray; daughter, Fran Miller of Milledgeville; step-son, Michael Lowery of Lascruces, NM; two step-daughters, Penny Parkerson of Eastman and Olivia Williams of Eatonton; four sisters, Shirley (Ricky) Wilkes of Martinez, Lynn Miller of Dublin, Kathy Oliver of Graham and Jinnie Sapp of E. Dublin; brothers, Ronnie Miller of E. Dublin, 7 grandchildren, 8 nephews and 2 nieces. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
