Services for Joey E. Dean, age 36, of Wrightsville, will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, May 4, 2014, at First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Don Hicks and Rev. Earl Warnock will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday at the church from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour. Mr. Dean died Thursday, May 1, 2014. Mr. Dean was a graduate of Dublin High School and served in the Marines. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Hilton Eugene Alligood, Grace Hall, Cal Hall, Marvin E. Dean, and Betty Jo Dean. Survivors include his wife, Shelly G. Dean, of Wrightsville; son, Brayden Dean, of East Dublin; step-children, Courtney Wilkerson, of Swainsboro, Rebekah Johnson, Rhanen McElhaney, both of Wrightsville; mother and step-father, Debbie Alligood and F. Byron Stewart, of East Dublin; brothers, Philip Dean, of Tiffin, OH, Scott Dean, of Minot, ND; step-sister, Stephanie Moye, of Oak Park, GA; father, Jack M. Dean, of East Dublin; step-mother, Debra Scott Dean, of Calhoun; nieces, Rylie Dean, Haylie Dean, both of East Dublin; nephews, Zachery Moye, Chase Moye; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Spence Lovette, Allan Giles, Jason Giles, Tony Sikes, Charles Sikes, and Brian Alligood will serve as pallbearers. Dublin High School Class of 1996 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
