Graveside services for John Patrick Bryant, age 76, of East Dublin, will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Kelly Maddox and Rev. Alan Wiggins will officiate. A reception will be held at Brewton Baptist Church from 12:00 Noon until 1:00PM prior to the service. Mr. Bryant was of the Baptist faith and attended Brewton Baptist Church. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Laurens County. Mr. Bryant served in the United States Air Force and Navy, and the Georgia National Guard. He was a three time veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Bryant was loved by all his family. Mr. Bryant died Thursday, March 07, 2013. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents, Milburn T. Bryant, Sr. and Mary Gaynell Kirkus Bryant, his sister, Janice B. Hobbs, and a step-son, Joseph Kemp. Survivors include his step-daughter, Donna Rowe, of Dublin, brother, M. T. Bryant, Jr., of O'Fallon, MO, sisters, Audrey B. Rowland, of Grey, Barbara B. Wilson, and Cheryl B. Perkins, both of Dublin, five step grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren. Robert Dale Bryant, Michael E. Rowland, Joel V. Hobbs, Bryant Wilson, Andy Abel, Thomas, J. Hobbs, and Christopher J. Hobbs will serve as pallbearers. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made in memory of John Patrick Bryant to Brewton Baptist Church.
