Services for John Robinson Howard, age 83, of Dudley, will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Elder Raybon Lord, Rev. Ed Ellington, and Elder Stephen Dyar will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Howard died Saturday, July 14, 2012. Mr. Howard was the son of the late J. B. Howard and the late Minnie Lee Smith Howard, of Dudley. He was a retired farmer, truck driver, and school bus driver. In addition to his parents, Mr. Howard was preceded in death by twin brother, Rufus T. Howard, brother-in-law, Everett Watson, and nephews, Glynn and Johnny Howard. Survivors include his wife, Annie Rae Howard, of Dudley; children, Deborah (Larry) Allen, of Dudley, Brenda (Donnie) Allen, of Dudley, and Bruce Howard, of Dublin; grandchildren, Chad (Autumn) Allen, of Dudley, Cristie (Travis) Cannon, of Chester, John Allen, of Dudley, Justin Howard, of Dublin; great grandchild, Abbey Joy Allen, of Dudley; brothers and sister, Talmadge (Faye) Howard, of Dudley, Betty Watson, of Montrose, and Marvin (Kathryn) Howard, of Dudley; and sister-in-law, Grace Howard, of Montrose. Pallbearers will be Chad Allen, John Allen, Justin Howard, Travis Cannon, Jake Howard, Dusty Howard, Colby Howard, and Bailey Howard.
