John Wilder Mincey, Jr., age 73 of Cadwell, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Snowhill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr.Larry Brewer, Rev. Jason Williams and Rev. Randall Tarpley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour at the church.
John Wilder Mincey served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot. He also trained century dogs and made documentaries of the Vietnam War. He was owner of Mincey Productions in Jacksonville, FL, where he produced commercials for Florida citrus growers. Portland, Oregon was his home for many years. While living there, he founded Wilder Creatives, where he was a producer of television commercials. His greatest passions in life were sailing, photography, and film making.
He is survived by his sister, Debbie Ward of North, GA; brother, Gary Mincey of Jacksonville, FL; companion, Gail Blalock of Cadwell; extended family members, Roger Wommack (Sheila), Kelli Wommack, Wade Wommack (Elizabeth), Chris Norris (Jan), Brandon Norris (Courtney) and Jessica Coleman and six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Warren, Chris Norris, Brad Poole, Dern Hearn, Jonathan Ard, Eric Ard and Keith Armstrong.
