Services for John Louis Thomas, age 75 of Cadwell will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 18, 2010 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Mr. Thomas was born in Laurens County. He was the son of the late Jim Wesley Thomas and the late Beatrice Sheffield Thomas. He was a retired mechanic. He was preceded in death by a son Michael Louis Thomas, four brothers and two sisters, one brother in law and one sister in law. Mr. Thomas died Tuesday, November 16, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bobbie Thomas of Cadwell, daughter, Cassandra (Joe) Justice, of Chester, son, Rickey Thomas of Cadwell, foster daughter, Mary (Richard) Dowdy of Cadwell, grandchildren, Emi (Steve) Shepard of Dublin, Michelle Thomas, (Ronnie Howell) of Cadwell, Kellie Hosford of Chester, Marsha Murchison of Cadwell, Beth Thomas of Cadwell, Patrick Mimbs of Savannah, Brett Hosford of Chester, great grandchildren, Braxton Shepard, Lane Murchison, Michael Howell, sisters in law, Nettie Thomas, Marie Beckman, Mary Williams, Reba Knapp, brother in law, Charles Todd. Several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to hospice of Laurens County, Dublin, GA.
