John Lee Williams, age 79 of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, June 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Mr. Willis Wombles and Chaplain Roger Holley will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00PM until funeral hour at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Williams was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was owner of Williams Paint & Body Shop for 55 years. He was also a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church and loved racing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Fred Williams; mother, Sarah Beall Williams, and son, Lee Williams. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sara Williams of Dublin; son, Frank Williams and his wife Erica of Dublin; grandson, Pearson Lee Williams of Dublin; granddaughter, Keyton Williams of Dublin and sister, Nell Gilder of Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Tommy Gilder, John Allen Bailey, Wiley Beall, Brantley New, Will Brewer and Ronald Burke. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Williams Paint & Body Shop.
