Dr. John Walker Zetterower, age 94, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Northview Cemetery. Dr. Cliff Morris will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Dr. Zetterower was a graduate of Dublin High School and a Veteran of the United States Navy. He received his Bachelors from Georgia Southern and his Doctorate of Dental Services from Emory University. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dublin, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for many years. Dr. Zetterower was also a member of the Dublin Rotary Club, Elks Club and the Dublin Country Club. He was a lifelong dentist and avid golfer. Preceding him in death was his wife, Virginia Perryman Zetterower; father, Frank Roach Zetterower, DDS; mother, Sally Mae Walker Zetterower; sister, Maudene Turner and brother, Frank Zetterower. He is survived by daughters, Cheryl Ingling (Richard) of Dallas, TX and Laurie Young (Leighton) of Cumming; son, Frank Zetterower of Eastman; grandsons, Jay Buchanan (Leslie) of Macon, Brad Buchanan (Elisa) of Lantana, TX, Rob Beale of Atlanta and David Beale of Atlanta and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Serenity Hospice, 510 Bellevue Ave., Dublin, GA 31021.
