Services for Johnny L. Reese Jr., age 63, of Dublin, will be held 2pm Friday, October 22, 2010 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Mimbs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Reese was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Robbins Packing Co. in Statesboro. He was the son of the late Johnny Lawson Reese, Sr. and the late Louise Smith Reese. Mr. Reese passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Reese of Dublin; son, John Dana Reese Dublin; grandson, Garyson of Cummings; mother-in-law, Nolie Miller; sister, Phyllis Benson of Milledgeville; sister-in-law, Betty Walker of E. Dublin; brother-in-law, Bobby (June) Miller of E. Dublin; three nephews; Jeff (Kelly) Dover, Greg (Angie) Dover and Shane (Marie) Miller, two nieces, Tonya (Freddie) Evans and Angie (Danny) Donaldson and several great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeff Dover, Greg Dover, Freddie Evans, Jordan Dover, Danny Donaldson and Phillip Patisaul. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Miller, Jerry Newsome, Larry Newsome, Danny Mercer, Randy Reese, Edwin Bland and Steve Tugbang. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home and may be contacted at 3056 Highway 257 in Dublin.
