Johnny Ray Sharpe, age 67 of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. John Durden will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:30AM until service time at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Sharpe was born on February 3, 1947 to the late J.T. Sharpe and the late Mary Ruth Beckum Sharpe of Vidalia, GA. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing. He was a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Faye Gilder Sharpe. Survivors include his sons, Brian Sharpe of Beaufort, SC and Jamey (Kimberly) Sharpe of Statesboro; granddaughter, Katherine Sharpe of Statesboro and his faithful companion, Faye Wheat of Milledgeville.
