Services for Joseph Robert Keene, age 82, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Rev. Curtis Warnock will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM. Mr. Keene died Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Mr. Keene, a veteran of the U. S. Army, served during the Korean Conflict, earning the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. B. and Sudie Lee Dominy Keene. Survivors include his wife, Ann Williamson Keene; children, Linda Keene Coleman, Diane Keene Davis, Joey Keene, all of Dublin, and Susie Keene Carter, of East Dublin; sisters, Barbara Gibson, of Roanoke, VA, and Marie Hammock, of Thomaston; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Jason Leverette, Michael Davis, Thomas Carter, Michael Carter, Tucker Carter, and Mark Dasher, will serve as pallbearers.
