Graveside services for Joseph "Joe" Francis Lewis, age 69, of East Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate. Mr. Lewis was the son of the late Loran Pickett Lewis and the late Annie Mae Lewis Byrd. He retired from Lewis Construction where he was a heavy equipment operator. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Lewis and his sister, Elaine Lewis. Survivors include his children, Kim Johnson (Chuck), Beverly Allen (Chris Hodges), Jason Lewis, and Brandi Lewis (David Horton), all of East Dublin; grandchildren, Josh Brantley, Amanda Register (Kyle), Logan Johnson, Jody Allen (Roxie), Brooke Bracewell (Alex), Ashley Pittman, Michael Pittman, Riley Locke, Kaiden Bullard, Joanna Lewis, Reese Lewis, Abi Grace Register, Hunter Register, Brianna Allen, Katelynn Bracewell, Brody Allen, all of East Dublin; sisters, Opal Hester, of East Dublin, Ann Windham, Carolyn Hogan (Paul), and Gail Wilson, all of Dublin; brother, Robert Lewis, of East Dublin; and several nieces and nephews. Kirk Lewis, Tim Lewis, Matt Lewis, Steven Powell, Ashley Windham, and Bruce Wynn will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
