Graveside services for Joseph A. "Joe" Long, Sr., age 83 of Dublin, GA, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Old Canoochee Cemetery in Twin City, GA. He passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Mr. Long was born in Twin City, GA to the late John and Georgia Rowland Long. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and a sister. He passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ruth Hall Long of Dublin, GA; son, Joseph A. Long, Jr. and his wife Kay of Tallahassee, FL; grandson, Kyle Long of Tallahassee, FL; special friends, Sandra Hall and family, Jennifer Blair and Jan and DeWitt Moses, all of Dublin, GA; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be David Woods, Billy Woods, Danny McGowan and Charles Bowen. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
