Joseph Edward May, Jr., age 75, of East Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Mr. May was born on March 11, 1946, to the late Joseph Edward May, Sr., and the late Johnny May Powell. He was very patriotic and was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam. He enjoyed sitting at the Huddle House drinking coffee and catching up with the news, which earned him the nickname "Corporate" by the employees. He loved farming and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mr. May attended the Mennonite Church in East Dublin and was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved step-father, Y.L. Heath, Jr., and brother, Jimmy Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila May, of East Dublin; son, Joseph E. "Joey" May, III (Michelle), of Rentz; daughters, Amanda L. Johnson (Adam), of Cleveland, OH, and Jennifer Allen (Chris),  and Jessica Christian (John), both of East Dublin; grandchildren, Abbey-Gail May, Jacob Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Layla Johnson, CJ Allen, Cody Allen, Kayleigh Allen, Dylan Christian, and Cole Christian; great-grandchildren, Ava May, Jonah Nesmith, and Nova Nesmith; sisters, Dianne Senn (Farris), of East Dublin, and Elaine Waller (Ron), of East Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mr. May will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Simon Yoder, Rev. Ben Edwards, and Rev. Keith Collins will officiate.
