Obituary

Joseph Anthony Mullins, age 36, of Cedar Grove, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.  Joseph was a lifelong resident of Laurens County and was born to Donna Mullins and Steave Mullins on October 11, 1985. He was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church and  was a graduate of West Laurens High School and earned his associates degree from Georgia Aviation Technical College in 2006.  He was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor at Lifetime Bath and Glass until his recent illness.

Joseph was a kind, generous, loving man with a servant heart who enjoyed doing things for others.  His greatest joy was being an awesome father to his two girls.  A jack of all trades, he could repair anything and took pride in his work.  Joseph was always willing to help anyone in need.  He loved the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, hunting, fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his beautiful family.  Joseph loved all his family and was the perfect example of a true family man.

Joseph was proceeded in death by his granddaddy whom he loved dearly, George W. Pittman, Jr.  Survivors include his daughters and the lights of his life, Lylah and Isabelle Mullins;his loving mother, Donna Pittman Mullins, of Cedar Grove, his father, Steave Mullins of North Carolina; grandmother, Sylvia Pittman of Cedar Grove; siblings, Kris Mullins, Heather Gibson (Christopher), Jackie Morris, and Frank Ollis (Taci); special aunt and uncle, Renee and Alan Heath; the mother of his children, Jody Thacker; two nieces, and several other cousins, family, and friends.  Joseph was so very loved by all who knew him.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Union Springs Baptist Church in Cedar Grove with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Pastors Ronnie Powell, Ray Harris, and Alan Heath will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Kris Mullins, Chris Gibson, Austin Jones, Michael Pittman, Brett Waters, and Bennett Skeeters.
