Services for Joseph Samuel Pike, Sr., age 61, of East Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Keith Collins, Rev. Ben Edwards, and Rev. Kenny Green will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Mr. Pike died Saturday, July 15, 2017. Mr. Pike, a life-long member of Pleasant Springs Community, was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church and retired truck driver. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Mr. Pike was preceded in death by his parents, John S. and Evenlyn Johnson Pike.

Survivors include his wife, Penny M. Pike; children, Joseph S. Pike, Jr., Kelly D. Pike, and Sarah M. Landon, all of Minter; brothers, John D. Pike, Jr., and Paul Pike; sisters, Esther Smith, and, Deborah Miller; half-sisters, Nora Gaffield, and Darlean Prience; three grandsons; several nieces and nephews.

Donnie Brown, Gene Radford, Dessie Jones, Kevin Drury, Kevin Beacham, Allen Wynn, Jerry Hayslip, Chris Allen will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Carter, Ferris Senn, Jimmy Graham, and Donnie Barwick.
