Obituary

Services for Joseph E. Rossman, age 80, of Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Poplar Springs North Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Cecil Clegg and Rev. Glenn Cowart will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Mr. Rossman died Sunday, May 28, 2017.

Mr. Rossman was a graduate of Columbia Presbyterian College and Atlanta Law School earning a JD degree. He served as pastor of Henry Memorial Presbyterian Church in 1974 and 1975 and was a retired caseworker with the Georgia Juvenile Justice Department. Mr. Rossman was a member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher in the Emmanuel Class. He was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association as a pilot.

Mr. Rossman was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis C. and Emma Kingsley Rossman, and son, Mike Parks.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Anderson Rossman, of Dublin; children, Nancy Cauley, of East Dublin, Kathy Parks Combs, of Macon, and Gregg Parks, of Dexter; grandchildren, Blake Hawkins, Taylor Cauley, Chris Parks, Bethany Parks, Elizabeth Perez and, Joshua Parks; great grandsons, Chucky Orduna, Wesley Parks, Jordan Parks, and Jackson Hawkins; brother, Charles Rossman; and sister, Janette Sinyard.

Joe dedicated his life to his wife, children, and grandchildren and was devoted to helping others in need. He shared his love for Christ with his rich baritone singing voice and his unconditional generosity.

Alan Yauck, Josh Parks, Randy Wilkins, Lawson Geiger, Chad Payne, Jake Goddard, Tim Lucke, Sonny Hogan, and Bruce Cauley will serve as pallbearers.
