Graveside services for Joyce Phyllis Graham, age 66 of East Dublin, will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 at 3:30 PM at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Kelly Maddox and Rev. Milton Thomas will officiate. She passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013.
Mrs. Graham was born in Laurens County. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Annie Stewart Tanner. She was of the Baptist faith and retired with almost 30 years of service from the Laurens Country Board of Education. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Elliott Graham; brothers, Edward, Harold and Gene Tanner and a sister, Hazel Martin.
Survivors include her children, Wayne "Peanut" Graham (Tommie Jean) of East Dublin, Tommy H. (Tara) Graham of Oxford, FL, Tammy Jackson (Robert) of East Dublin, Christy Graham Thomas of East Dublin; grandchildren, Allison Mullis, Austin Graham, Lindsey Strickland (Derek), Meredith Gregory (Billy), Jason Carr, Katie Graham, Joshua Carr, Ramsey Graham, Tyler Mathis, Josh Thomas, Jon Gatlin Thomas, great grandsons, Grayson, Nathan and Hunter; brother, Talmadge Tanner (Joyce) of Rentz; sister, Robbie Mason (Charles) of Swainsboro and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be TJ Ricks, Chucky Mason, Shannon Mason, Kevin Tanner, Allen Ricks and Glenn Tanner.
There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Youth Fund, 335 Bethlehem Church Road, East Dublin, 31027.
