Services for Joyce G. Smith, age 78, of East Dublin, will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Matt Haywood will officiate. Mrs. Smith was born on November 29, 1933 in Laurens County. She was the daughter of the late Lester Graham and the late Dollie Drew Graham. She was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She volunteered at the LBA Food Ministry and was "MeMa" to many throughout her years w+ orking in the church nursery. Mrs. Smith was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elton Lee Fordham and William Tollie Smith, Jr.; son, Zane Lee Fordham; two daughter-in-laws, Kathy M. Fordham and Susan B. Fordham; sister, Juanita (James) Frost; and two brothers, Prentiss Graham and Prescott Graham. Mrs. Smith passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011. She is survived by five sons; Dean Fordham and Randy (Hope) Fordham, both of East Dublin, Billy Fordham of Statesboro, Glenn (Sheila) Fordham of East Dublin and Kyle (Debbie) Fordham of Dublin; daughter, Vicki Fordham (Jim) Fuller of East Dublin; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Annette Fordham of East Dublin; sister, Joann (Cecil) Collins of East Dublin; two brothers, Phillip (Linda) Graham of Alamo and Tony (Retha) Graham of Rentz; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family may be contacted at Mrs. Smith's home, 714 Turkey Trail Road in East Dublin. They will receive friends on Friday, December 23, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
