Services for J.T. McLeod, age 86 of Dexter will be held at 4:30PM on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Larry Rollins and Rev. Tommy Roe and Rev. Wayne McDaniel will officiate. He passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012. Mr. McLeod was a member of Chester United Methodist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. He was also member of the Gideon's International and the Masonic Lodge of Chester #340 for 60 years, serving for 30 years as lodge secretary. Mr. McLeod was a salesman most of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, H. Rufus McLeod and his mother, Florence Viola Bryan McLeod. Survivors include his wife, Levenia E. McLeod of Dexter, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kay McLeod of Madison, GA; two granddaughters, Mandy McLeod of Nashville, TN and Shelby McLeod of Madison, GA. Pallbearers will be Willie Clements, Danny Howard, Donny Screws, Rex Woody, Barron Fuqua, John Lakey, Danny Strickland and Terry Garnto. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:30PM until 4:30PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
