Services for Julia Daniel "JuJu" Alligood will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of East Dublin. Rev. Greg Lowery and Harold Peavy will officiate. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. JuJu was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of East Dublin and loved her church family. She cherished her friends and extended family. From vacations to a drive around the block, JuJu was always ready to go on a trip. JuJu is now strolling through the pearly gates of heaven. Mrs. Alligood was born in Wilkinson County. She was the daughter of the late J. B. Daniel, Sr. and the late Lois Cauley Daniel. She was a member of First Baptist Church, East Dublin. She retired from Forstmann and the Georgia Department of Labor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Alligood, brother J. B. "Buddy" Daniel, Jr., sister, Joyce Greene and grandson, Greg Thompson. Survivors include her children, Lynn Alligood of Dublin, Rhonda Ashbee of Gainesville, Mike Alligood of Dublin, Karen and Tony Gay of Rentz, grandchildren, Tim Thompson, Brandon and Amanda Alligood, Cameron and Meagan Gay, Kayton Gay, great grandchildren, Michae Alligood, MaKoy Alligood, Keagan Gay, sister in law, Rose Daniel, of Eatonton, sister and brother in law, Elmer Lee (Cullen) Lane of Rentz, sisters in law, Evelyn Alligood, of Macon, Rita Alligood of Rentz, other relatives including Ann Alligood, nieces and nephews, Wayne Daniel, Audrey D. Foskey, Ken Daniel, Patty Sawyer, Delois Barfield, Pam Vickers, Donna Buchanan,Elaine Alligood, Brenda Wilson, and lifelong friend, Marjorie Lindsey. Pallbearers will be, Earl Foskey, Paul Sterling, Jeffery Coleman, Wayne Daniel, Bud Judd, Brandon Alligood, Tim Thompson, Tim Buchanan, Kenneth Daniel. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
