June Kennedy Mullis, of 1345 Highway 19, Dublin, Georgia, died Wednesday November 12, 2014. The family will receive friends at 10 am Saturday November 15, 2014 at Townsend Brothers. The funeral will be at 11:00 am in Townsend's chapel and burial will follow at Northview Cemetery. Mrs. Mullis is survived by her husband, Gene Mullis of Dublin, a daughter, Debra Throckmorton (Scott) of Dallas, Texas, and a son, Ken Mullis (Janie) of Auburn, Ga. Five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brother Paul Kennedy, sisters, Carolyn Murphy and Jane Harvell. She lived in Laurens County the majority of her life. She was an employee of the Laurens County Mental Health Department retiring with 20 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents Joe Ellis and Willie Ellington Kennedy, brothers Jack and Billy Kennedy, sisters Marie Faulk and Dorothy Runge.
