Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. June Coleman Smith, age 86, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2017, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Dr. Cliff Morris will officiate. Mrs. Smith died Monday, January 2, 2017.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Chancel Choir and the WMU. She retired from the Dublin City Schools. Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her father, Alex Graham Coleman; mother, Georgia Mae Childers Coleman Moring; husband, Milo Smith, Jr., and sisters, Anne Coleman Whitlock and Nora Moring Tatum.

Survivors include her children, Nora Jane Smith, and David Milo Smith, both of Dublin; grandchildren, Nichole (Lance) Padgett and Jessica (Jonathan) Santiago, of Dublin; great grandchildren, Brittany Padgett, Austin Padgett, and Gade Santiago; sister, Rosemary (John) Knox, of Marietta; step-sister, Patricia Johnson, of Idaho; brother-in-law, William Robert "Bill" (Carole) Smith, of Dublin and several nieces and nephews. Dr. John Knox, Jimbo Whitlock, Coleman Tatum, Alex Tatum, Lucian Tatum, and Craig Henry will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Townsend Smith Sunday School Class and the ladies of the First Baptist Church WMU. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Friday, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Music Ministry, 405 Bellevue Ave., Dublin, GA 31021 or Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, GA 31021.
