Graveside services for Katherine Fountain Spivey, age 76 of Rentz, will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Greg Lowery will officiate. Mrs. Spivey was born in Laurens County to the late W.B. Fountain and the late Ada Marie Pitts Fountain. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Bil-Joe. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.S. Spivey and a daughter, Wanda Mullis. Mrs. Spivey passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Wayne Spivey of Cadwell; daughter, Glenda Faye McCranie of Cadwell; two grandsons, Calvin Jones and Samuel Warren, Jr.; three granddaughters, Dianna Boyd, Stacey Spell and Lynn Wright; great-grandson, Christopher Brandon Warren; two great-granddaughters, Shelby Nicole Boyd and Savannah Boyd; brother, W.B. "Chuck" Fountain, Jr. of Eastman; two sisters, Nell (James) Horne of Eastman and Shirley (William) Hopper of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
