Kathy Grosch, of Dublin, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stromsburg, NE, on November 11, 1945, Kathy was the daughter of the late Adolph and Rose Killian Kresha. She attended Country Elementary School, District 64 in Osceola, NE. She was a 1964 graduate of Osceola Public School, and was past president of St. Vincent Catholic Church. She married Wayne A. Grosch on January 21, 1967 and they later moved to Dublin, Georgia. Kathy was self employed with Major Turbine Pump and Supply. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, an Altar Guild, and an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. Mrs. Grosch was also a 4-H Leader, Optimist of the Mind Club Leader, and past president of Beta Sigma Phi and the Kappa Alpha Alpha. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Dublin and the Dublin/Laurens Chamber of Commerce. She loved her Monday Night Mahjongg Group, as well as her, Red Hat Group and Lunch Bunch. Kathy was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She never met a stranger and will be remembered for her generosity and hospitality. She was always busy in her kitchen making sure friends and loved ones were well fed. Her passion and zest for life was contagious and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Kresha and Anthony Kresha. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Wayne Grosch, of Dublin, GA; daughter, Pam Hodges (Scott), of Atlanta, GA; son, Greg Grosch (Christy), of Dublin, GA; daughter, Lori Grosch, of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Skylar Hodges, of Atlanta, and Grant Grosch, Caroline Grosch, and Hampton Grosch, all of Dublin; sisters, Rosalie Gabel (Max) and Ramona Smith (Ronnie), both of Shelby, NE, Mary Lou Dunekacke (Lee), of Johnson, NE, and Bettiann Witulski (Steve), of Evergreen, CO; brother, Joe Kresha (Lou), of Osceola, NE; sister-in-law, Carol Kresha, of Osceola, NE and numerous extended relatives. A Rosary Service will be held at 5:00PM on Thursday, January 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the Rosary from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Father Stephen Pontzer will conduct the services. A reception for friends and family will be held following the burial in the social hall of the First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall Building Fund, 1559 Highway 441 N., Dublin, GA 31021 or on line at www.immaculate-conception-church.net.
