Steven Keith Lord, age 63, of Dudley, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Mr. Lord was born October 31, 1953 in Laurens County. He was a graduate of Northwest Laurens High School and owner of Lord Insurance Services, Inc. He was a member of Dudley Baptist Church and was a devoted man of faith, who loved his family and prayed for them daily. A farmer all his life, Keith loved his farm and the time spent farming with his father and his sons. He was his daughter's rock and an advocate for her healthcare. He was a great provider and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Lord was preceded in death by his father, Russell Lord, and sister, Cheri Lord Adams. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Diane Ward Lord; daughter, Stephanie Lord, of Dudley; sons, Cody Lord (Lora), and Blaine Lord (Jenifer), both of Dudley; mother, Carolyn Hilton Lord, of Dudley; brothers, Ken Lord (Kathy), Ricky Lord (Maria), and Rusty Lord (Deana), all of Dudley; grandsons, Jacob Lord, Mac Lord, and Parker Lord, all of Dudley; granddaughter, Maggie Shea Lord, of Dudley, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services for Mr. Lord will be held on Saturday, May 20th, at 11:00AM at Dudley Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Gerald Frazier and Rev. Billy Daws will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kenny Tomlinson, Gary Baggett, Alan Baggett, Buster Manning, Stan Dominy, Ben Ward, and Will Adams.
