Kenneth Franklin Couey, age 59 of Dublin, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 after a brief illness. Mr. Couey was born in Laurens County. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Olivet Baptist Church. Ken was employed as a sales representative with Lorillard Tobacco Company. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Olivet Baptist Church. Rev. Kyle Giddens will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date. His family and loved ones include Elizabeth Hall; parents, Billy and Maudell Hutcheson; children, Casey (Van) Manning, Crain (Ranea) Couey, and Jake Couey; brothers, Stan (Linda) Couey, Wade (Lisa) Hutcheson, and Dale (Cindy) Hutcheson; grandchildren, Logan Manning, Landen Manning, Kimber Couey, and Caydon Couey; along with the mothers of his children, Patricia Couey and Carol Couey Stinson; and a number of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jay Couey, Will Couey, Ricky Robertson, Guy Couey, Randy Robertson and Benny Wood.
