Kimper Mae Giddens, age 76 of Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 2, 2015 at East Dublin Dayspring Worship Center. Burial will follow in the Giddens-Harrell Cemetery in Eastman. Rev. Cole Morris will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. They may also be contacted at the home of Debbie and Eddie Morris. Pallbearers will be Casey Morris, Cuyler Morris, Cameron Giddens, Corey Giddens, Craig Giddens, Daniel Giddens and Blaine Oxford. Mrs. Giddens was preceded in death by her husband of thirty six years, James Earl Giddens; son, Brian; parents, Elton and Vera Churwell and a sister, Jaynelle Bryant. Born and raised in Cochran, Georgia, Mrs. Giddens lived in New York ten years. Upon returning to Georgia in 1971, she settled in Laurens County and was employed five years at Cilecook Nursing Home. She worked at Bassett Furniture for ten years before retiring. Mrs. Giddens was baptized and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She then transferred her membership to East Dublin Baptist Church and attended as long as she was able to attend. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed family get togethers and tending to her flowers and rose garden. She is survived by her sons, James Giddens (Lisa) of Dudley and Bobby Giddens (Mary Ann) of Dublin; daughters, Wanda Bowen (Steve) of East Dublin and Debbie Morris (Eddie) of Dublin; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and sister, Shirley Busching of Perry.
