Lamar Williams, Jr., age 79, of East Dublin, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016.

Mr. Williams was born in Laurens County to the late, Arthur Lamar and Annie Pearl Warren Williams. He was a self-employed truck driver and member of Pine Grove Assembly of God. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Horne Williams; brothers, Billy Williams, Arthur "Jake" Williams, James "Pete" Williams, and Herbert "Lee" Williams, and sisters, Ruby Williams and Ruth Flanders.

He is survived by sons, Samuel Phillip Williams (Allison), of Pennsylvania, and Jonathan Keith Williams, of East Dublin; grandchildren, Candace Coker, Shannon Parker, Samantha Williams, Hunter Williams, and Callie Williams; great-grandchildren, Madison Coker, and Rowan Coker; siblings, Geneva (TJ) Hall, Emily Mizek (Lee), Bennie Ray Williams (Darlene), Alma King (Don), Bobby Williams, Betty Hall, Becky Rutherford, and Barbara Hall, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Dodge, County. Rev. Larry Waldrep will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until funeral service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Benji Smith, Jason Horne, Randy Horne, Bill Large, Bobby Williams and Donnie Barwick.
