Services for Larry Evans, age 75 of Rentz will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Grady Mimbs will officiate. He passed away on May 17, 2014. Mr. Evans was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He worked as a paper carrier with Dublin Courier Herald. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Evans and mother, Clemmie Lantie Warren Evans. Survivors include his wife, Betty Grace Baggett Evans of Rentz; son, Tony Lamar Evans of Rentz; daughter, Twila Lantie Evans Foskey (Jimmy) of Rentz; granddaughter, T.J. Alligood (Bob) of Montrose; grandson, Joshua Christopher Alligood (Shelley) of Rentz; great-grandchildren, Kayle Johnson, Levi Johnson and Gunner Christopher Alligood, all of Rentz and Loralie Lynn Alligood-Breeden of Montrose; sisters, Claudell Crooms of Warner Robins and Alberta Wege of Atlanta and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Johnny Herrin, Sterling Herrin, Jim Sell, Jeffrey Baggett, Seth Bailey and Chad Payne. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
