Mr. Larry McLendon, age 69, of Rockledge, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Larry attended East Laurens High School and retired four years ago from Air Gas. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Hattie Thigpen McLendon; brother, S.V. McLendon, and sister, Shelby Spivey.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Elaine Hewett McLendon, of Rockledge; daughters, Lucretia Braswell (Heath), of Rentz and Deanna Burke (Eric), of East Dublin; 2 grandsons, Ryan McLendon and Shawn Burke; 1 granddaughter, Karsyn Braswell, and several nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, November 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Thigpen Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be TJ Spivey, Brian Portwood, Brad Portwood, Grayson Dent, Ryan McLendon, and Shawn Burke.
