Services for Laveny Ruth May, age 85 of East Dublin, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Nolan McDaniel will officiate. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. May was the daughter of the late Charlie NeSmith and the late Mammi Crabb NeSmith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Girl Scouts, serving for many years as a scout leader. She was preceded in death by her husband James May, son Jimmy Carroll May, great-grandchild, Charlie and a great-great-grandchild, Jasmine. Mrs. May passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011. She is survived by her two daughters; Judy Marchant of Fort Mead, FL and Donna (Jimmy) Stinson, of Dublin; two sons, Jack (Ann) May of Rentz and William C. (Nancy) May of Dudley, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
