Services for Lee Fred Watson of East Dublin will be held Monday, May 30, 2011 at 11:00AM at Brewton Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate. Fred passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Watson was the son of the late Carlton Judson Watson Sr. and the late Nannie Elizabeth Morris Watson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Barfield and a brother, Edsel Watson. Mr. Watson was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Brewton Baptist Church and a member of NARF. He was an avid sports fan. Mr. Watson was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a retired Occupational Therapist from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. Survivors include Wife of 58 years: Patsy Watson of East Dublin, four children: Steven Watson (Angela) of Dublin, Gail Bland (Kenneth) of East Dublin, Dale Watson (Deborah) of East Dublin, and Joel Watson (Mitzi)of Dublin, Eight Grandchildren and two great grandchildren, three brothers: Judson Watson Jr. (Frances) of East Dublin, Ray Watson (Mary Alice) of Dublin, Lynn Watson (Janice) of Milledgeville, five sisters, Ruth Vass of Niceville, Florida, Clovis Rowland of Dublin, Iris Frost of Dublin, Grace Lord of Dublin, and Linda Garmany of East Dublin. Pallbearers will be Drew Watson, Eric Bland, Jake Watson, James Stinson, Billy Kemp, and Daniel Knight Visitation will be held at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday May 29, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Laurens County or Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
