Lena Frances Barfoot, age 77 of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Services will be held at 2:30PM on Friday, September 4, 2015 in the Chapel of Jefferson Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Darren Talley and Rev. Jay Moore will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Barfoot was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church and the Faith-Naomi Sunday School Class. She retired after 40 years in cosmetology. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.B. ad Lena Bailey Stevens and husband, Alton Barfoot. Survivors include her daughter, Connie Barfoot Adams (William) of Cadwell; son, Steve Barfoot (Mimsy) of Elberton; granddaughter, Rebekah A. Daniel of Statesboro; grandson, Brett L. Daniel of Cadwell; brother, Bobby Stevens (Olivia) of Dublin and nieces, Jennifer Collins and Kelli Stevens. Pallbearers will be Frankie Bracewell, Bobby Davidson, Dwight Smith, Glynn Mullis, Charles Watson and Justin Wyatt. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Jefferson Street Baptist Church and J.D. Brown, Clyde Barbee, Clark Moore, Frank Cook, Bennie Screws and Larry Simpson.
