Services for Leola Sirmons Collins, age 92 of Chester, will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Chester United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Buckhorn United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Wayne McDaniel and Rev. Gary Mimbs will officiate. Mrs. Collins passed away on April 17, 2013. Mrs. Collins was born in Laurens County to the late James Jackson Sirmons and the late Columbia Eugenia Bryant Sirmons. She was a homemaker and a member of Chester United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer "Pete" Collins; brothers, W.E. "Ernest" Sirmons, Harley "Pete" Sirmons and Alvin Sirmons; sister, Audrey Sirmons and son-in-law, Arlton W. "Bud" Dewease. She is survived by daughter, Connie Dewease of Dublin; son, Ronnie (Vivian) Collins of Wrightsville; grandson, Mark (Shelbie) Dewease of Dublin; granddaughters, Amy (Tony) Reagan of Statesboro, Laney (Jerry) Smith of Dublin and Christy (Andy) Wooten of Byron; great-granddaughter, Macey Smith of Dublin; great-grandson, Brantley Wooten of Byron; sister-in-law, Sybil Rhodes of Dexter and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wayne Sirmons, Ray Sirmons, Billy Sirmons, Roy Sirmons, Buddy Hosford and Phillip Hosford.
